The Feros Group has made three changes in its draft plans –
- The 20-room accommodation building is now a single storey facing Princess St and two storeys facing the Hotel car park.
- The eastern addition to the Hotel facing Queen St no longer extends into the grounds of the old CBC bank building.
- Demolition and alterations within the Hotel building are reduced.
Parking
- Only 22 parking spaces will be provided onsite for the Pub, 20 for the accommodation rooms and 6 for offices and staff.
- Based on three surveys conducted over the past year, 26% of pub patrons require parking spaces.
- The estimated maximum number of patrons is 354.
Based on the information provided by Feros, up to 92 onsite parking spaces will be required for the Pub – a shortfall of up to 70 spaces.
Community engagement will be required to assess impacts on Berry residents, especially during Summer, school holidays and weekends.
