Draft Minutes for the Berry Forum meeting

Special resolution vote to incorporate The Berry Forum
The attendees unanimously resolved that The Berry Forum be incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 (NSW).

The existing management committee will continue to administer the affairs of the Association pending the election of a committee by the members under the Constitution at the next general meeting.
Berry Hotel briefing
The applicant was informed last year that most objectors to its DA supported appropriate redevelopment of the Hotel but had serious concerns about inadequate parking.
Some of the key issues are:
- the applicant provided 190 parking spaces for 298 patrons at the Terrey Hills Tavern but proposes only 19 for 354 patrons at the Berry Hotel.
- restricting the projected increase in parking demand to just the 232m2 of additional Pub floor area, and ignoring the substantial increase in demand that will result from more than doubling the number of Pub patrons across the existing 660m2 Pub floor area
- ignoring the RTA research that found using a ratio of patrons to licensed floor area to determine parking requirements yielded inaccurate results
DA26/1558 is on public exhibition until 5 August, and a newsletter will be sent out identifying the full list of key issues for residents to use when sending submissions to Council.
Members asked to endorse parking info to be included in the Forum submission
