Council has published the results of its online survey, which sought feedback on its proposal to replace the current Community Consultative Bodies (CCB) model with Accredited Community Forums (ACFs). Of the 408 responses, 60%supported the proposal and 23% were neutral.
A recommendation to adopt the ACF model will now be considered by councillors at their meeting on 26 May.
The Forum Committee representative was one of a small group that proposed the ACF model and helped refine its features in several meetings with the CEO, Mayor and staff.
Survey Results
The Forum Committee asked the Berry community for a strong response in support of the ACF model and you responded – 40% of the responses from across the Shoalhaven came from Berry.
Next Steps
All ACFs will need to be incorporated bodies.
After our Committee meeting on 25 May, we will advise Council of the Committee’s intention to put a special resolution recommending incorporation to the next Forum meeting on 16 July.
